The device works as advertised. Having to unplug the headset to eliminate battery drain is annoying and sometimes forgotten. Regardless, I am getting about 100 hours per 9V battery. One problem I have had is that the output is too high for the audio panel in the aircraft. There is no way to adjust the gain so some microphones cause break-up and distortion, especially when picking up high background noise, which is common in military aircraft. Add a power switch and adjustable mic gain and this would be a 5-star device.

It works but only intermittently. Can’t really rely on a product that intermittently cuts out. The vox worked semi decently for a couple hours, then wouldn’t activate when I spoke. I’d have to play with it to get the vox to activate again.

Yes, the ANR on the Bose X will be powered by the batteries in the Bose battery pack. The 9V battery in this adapter is to change from high to low impedance.
This will not do both conversions. This adapter, Part # 11-06529, will convert your Bose A20 Dual GA to military low impedance single plug for use in the Blackhawk. To convert from Dual GA to single plug high impedance for GA helicopters like the Lakota, you will also need part # 11-10630.
This is the right one, Dual GA to Military U-174 low impedance adapter.
No, you will need Part# 11-14138.
40-45 hours continuous usage. But it is important to disconnect the headset from the adapter after you are done with the flight. Yes, if the battery died the headset would stop working.
