Overview

The RedBaron series of anticollision lights were designed for certified aircraft requirements. They represent the cutting edge in optics design and the use of LED arrays that have been optimized for coverage patterns. The exclusive Aveo RockyReflectors™ are what separates these lights from any in the industry, and they have been molded after exhaustive modeling and testing in their parent company's world class LED-array measurement lab. The RedBaronXP™ version incorporates 36 of the brightest LEDs available in the world today, with chromacity and intensity compliant to all international aviation and safety standards. The optical performance is incredible, and these are the ideal replacement unit for any anticollision light system in existence.

The RedBaronXP lights feature an exclusive Aveo internal reflection system to get the appropriate arcs of intensities, and these lights exceed the requirements by a wide margin. Be Seen, Not Sorry is their mantra, and with the RedBaronXP lights your aircraft will be seen farther away than any other lighting system in the market, and all with the exclusive Aveo patented electronic circuitry.

Encapsulated in the exclusive AveoDiamidium™ formulation, the RedBaron XP lights are virtually unbreakable.

Reviews

I just installed this yesterday. Insanely bright and I loved the note in the box to take care when testing it! This very well built piece of tech could save you life by being seen and uses less electricity doing it. I would order another in 2 seconds if they weren’t out of stock.

Very bright. Install very clear, relatively easy, but some adjustment needed for bracket to hold it in place on floor of (inside) fuselage. Could not use the holding bolt supplied.. needed longer, due to thickness of fuselage. Brightness and less power consumption were the reasons for purchase. Both achieved.

Wow! This thing is bright! I mounted this on the belly of my Cessna 150 and it provides plenty of coverage for the lower part of the aircraft. Draws very little amperage. Great little unit.

Pros: Plenty bright. Robust construction. Very noticeable flash pattern. Small form factor. 10/32 bolt easily replaced the metric hold-down that was supplied (to fit standard aircraft hardware) Cons: the hold-down bolt that extends through center doesnt come with a gasket seal. The beacon is waterproof, but water could sit in the well that the hold-down nests in, and leak down into the aircraft. Not a lot would leak, but enough IMHO to cause potential long term issues. Take-away: top quality, a little pricey, a slight re-design of the through-hole would make it perfect.

I installed it on a tail. Increased visibility of the aircraft specially in poor weather conditions - tower told me! Easy installation!!! Highly recommended!!!

This thing rocks! Very easy install and VERY bright. I installed it on a separate switch than he old vertical stab pulsing light. I did this so I can use the old beacon for ground ops near other aircraft without blinding them with this baby blazing.

Installed this as a replacement for the old rotating belly beacon on my C185. Incredibly bright and very easy installation. Highly recommended!!!

Q: I need the dimensions or drawings for PN 11-08423? Installing in a Grumman AA1-C with red rudder cap STC. Is this part PMA'd for the above aircraft?

The dimensions for this light can be found by clicking the "Download the Techincal Drawing" link in the Overview tab of the web page. This product is not FAA Approved. For the FAA Approved version, please search part # 11-11554 on our website.

Q: What is the weight of the Aveo RedBaron XP LED Anti-collision light?

The weight of the light itself is approximately 0.33 lbs.

Q: There are 4 wires on the Aveo RedBaron XP LED lights. Where do they all go? Power/ground/indicator wire?

We have added the installation manual to the 'Documents' tab of the web page. Please review them there.

Q: AVEO RedBaron XP, AVEO RedBaron Mini LED light, AVEO RedBaron Maximini recognition light. All similar products at different price points, all say they are the brightest, whats the difference? Which one is in fact the brightest?

Price is dependent on how many diodes are in the light. the Mini has 20 the Maximini has 30 and is hemispheric the Maxi has 40. The more diodes and LED's the brighter the light.
