I accidentally duplicated my order and the customer service folks were very helpful, since I had not opened the second order they refunded my purchase without a restocking fee. The replacement switch fit perfectly and works perfectly.
TCM Switch 10-357290-1
The new switch performs as Id expect positive key position detents, key retention while the ignition is on. But...$700+ for this benefit?
TCM Switch 10-357210-1
Good product, thank you.
TCM Switch 10-357200-1
I purchased the 10-357210-1 which does not have a start function just L, R, Both and OFF mag positions. The switch performs well as an FAA certified mag switch in a 1946 Aeronca 7AC champ. I had to build a mount plate because the switch mounts on the left side between the front and rear pilot seats and it was about 7/8 too deep to go in the space between the aircraft fabric surface and the switch mounting plate. The switch did not come with a certification form so I entered the TCM part number as an FAA approved switch in the airframe log book.
TCM Switch 10-357290-1
Looks great, was very easy to install. I had an older switch that was smaller, so I did have to enlarge the hole to 7/8 to accommodate this switch, but that was easily and cleanly done with a taper bit.
TCM Switch 10-357290-1
The ignition switch is a well made product and worked as it should

Excellent service as usual !

Yes, this switch is certified.
The switch itself is FAA-PMA'd. There is no applicability list. That must be determined by the installer but it is FAA Approved for use in certified aircraft.
