Note: Not FAA Approved. Intended for use in experimental aircraft only. When quality, performance, and safety matter, EarthX is the most trusted and used brand by experimental aircraft manufacturers and experimental aircraft owners, and endorsed by engine companies such as Rotax, Continental, ULS Power and Viking. Remove weight and increase power, all with one product! These ETX Hundred series (ETX680C, ETX680, ETX900 and the ETX1200) batteries are recommended for your primary engine aircraft battery. These models are equipped with redundant electronic circuits on the BMS board and have an LED battery fault light indicator to alert you to cell health and state of charge. The battery management features include over discharge protection, over charge protection, short circuit protection up 1000 amps, excessive cranking protection (temperature sensing) in addition to integrated cell balancing technology. With an EarthX lithium battery, you will gain a significant amount of cranking amps and drop a minimum of 11+ pounds instantly by switching from a lead acid battery. Please view the Aircraft Application Flowchart under the documents tab for assistance in selecting the correct EarthX battery for your application. Additional Specs

EtX680 Lithium Aircraft Battery 79Mm
EarthX ETX680C Lithium Aircraft Battery
This battery is a must have replacement for original “type” battery. Weighs almost next to nothing compared to the original!
EarthX ETX680 Lithium Aircraft Battery 76MM
Love it worth the money
EarthX EtX900 Aircraft Lithium Battery
Excellent
EtX680 Lithium Aircraft Battery 79Mm
One third the size and double the capacity for fraction of the weight.
EarthX ETX1200 Aircraft Lithium Battery 20ah
I use the battery as a portable, no onboard charging. It seems to need charging after a single start cycle. . First couple of charge cycles the battery seemed to topout and/or settle at low voltage. Presently it settles to around 13.55v. I find it cranks far faster than an LA Gill.
EarthX ETX680C Lithium Aircraft Battery
Battery is light weight. However the terminal connectors layout are flawed. They are located on the centerline of the battery, with the terminal bolts flush with the case top. Makes a strong back clamp down arrangement a challenge. Concord and PC680 battery connections are located off center line.
EarthX EtX900 Aircraft Lithium Battery
Wow this battery is light, cranks the engine much faster than my old battery.
EtX680 Lithium Aircraft Battery 79Mm
Really got a charge out of this battery.....The amount of weight removed from the front of the plane is significant

Per the supplier: These batteries do not have any limitations. You are able to mount these in any direction you would like including upside down.
Per vendor, these batteries can be charged with any charger other than a desulfating charger.
Per Earth X: We recommend either the ETX680 or the ETX900 for the Rotax 912 without external alternator. The ETX 900 is the upgraded version of the 680 but both would work.
Yes, you can connect up to two batteries in series, however they would only be 24 volts, not 28 volts, as each battery is 12 volts.
We believe the "C" stands for Compact. The ETX680C is a smaller battery than the ETX680, but has the same voltage and cranking amps. The case dimensions are listed on the web page.
Per Earth X: Yes, you can connect two Earth X batteries in parallel.
No. The voltages are not the same and you will over charge the lead acid battery and drain the lithium.
ETX680 for normal climate or the ETX900 if they are in a colder climate or just want extra cold cranking amps.
The ETX Lithium battery is compatible with most modern lead-acid battery chargers or 4cell LiFePO4 battery chargers. By modern we mean a charger that automatically turns off when the battery is fully charged, a charger with a micro-processor, or a charger with multiple mode charging.
