All nozzles are of the air bleed type. This means that the fuel is discharged inside the nozzle body into a chamber which is vented to either atmospheric air pressure or to supercharger air pressure (injector top deck pressure). The nozzle is mounted into the intake valve plenum of the cylinder head.

This is a nice item and has worked perfectly in my twin comanche. The only issue is that part numbers are a mess with Lycoming and other suppliers. I was not sure I was ordering the right part until I had it in hand.
2524864-2 Precision A/M Nozzle
Bought these for my Lycoming IO-360A1A. Relatively easy to install. I wish the front edge of the thread was beveled - would have made it a little easier to get the threads started. Keep in mind, these have a tapered pipe thread, so you must stick to the manufacturer torque setting when installing. The removable insert is a nice feature and they have dust caps to keep them from coming out when you are working with them. I had the old air-bleed style, and these seem to work a little better with the insert/flow restrictor.
