I use this to heat the contents of a covered pickup bed and hard wired to the auxiliary switch it works perfectly.
H/B Cabin Heater SA12-4000
When I run it on high, 30 amps the positive wire gets really hot. I think if I left in on for very long it would melt the insulation off the positive wire coming out of the heater. I used a 8 gauge wire 5’ foot long direct to battery running through a 80 amp relay
