6 Skull Spinner Dome Polished
This was too large for our Grumman Yankees propeller. We had to return it.
6 Skull Spinner Dome Polished
Nice product, shopped quick. No complaints!
Excellent fit and finish, I would order another one!
Old bracket broke, this replacement piece is very heavy duty & the skullcap fit perfect on the prop hub. Will see how it does after a few hours of flying but dont anticipate any problems.
This bracket and polished cap are far superior in quality to original. I recommend anyone flying with the original bracket upgrade to this much thicker/stronger version. I had an original bracket fail in flight and its not a fun experience. The only improvement I would make is to use a larger machine screw since the one supplied did not stay tight on the cap.
Well made, not cheap in any way. Perfect fit. I would recommend this to anyone.
The spinner dome itself is great, beautifully polished. However the mounting bracket does not fit the Lycoming O-360 as advertised. Bolt circle is to small and is drilled out for 3/8” bolts, not 1/2” required on the O-360.
The first one I bought failed in flight (20 hrs) due to the bracket cracking. Made a loud rattling noise and engine vibration in flight. Once I landed the cap fell off at the gas pump at calblack UT. Cant make this stuff up. The 2nd one I bought had the same bracket as the first one that failed but the screw and threaded clip are different. Hope this one will last longer than the first one.
On my third in 20 hours. The bracket breaks very easily and sends the dome off to fall to the earth. Wish there was another option for early 150’s but this is all there is.
