UNIQUE SPRING DESIGN:
PowerUp ircraft engine ignition harnesses incorporate a negative-pitch spring design (the tip of the coil spring extends inward) allowing the coil spring tip to lie flat against the spark plug electrode, providing 360º contact. Ignition energy is maximized and flashover is reduced to a minimum. REPLACEABLE CONTACT SPRINGS: Replacement springs are available separately saving you time and money when a field repair is necessary. PLATED STEEL NUT: Steel nuts offer superior strength compared to aluminum nuts and reduce the potential for galling during installation. PERFORMANCE – PLUS: Using a tinned-copper, nickel plated braid shielding substantially reduces EMI and combined with a very flexible 19 strand conductor of stainless steel wire provides the ultimate in wire conductivity and ease of installation. STRAIGHT & 90 DEGREE STEEL ELBOW LEADS AVAILABLE: Steel nuts offer superior strength compared to aluminum nuts and reduce the potential for galling during installation. ABRASION AND HEAT RESISTANT: The abrasion resistant red polymer cover has been engineered specifically for the high-temperature environment of reciprocating engines. |

PowerUp KA12007 Ignition Harness Red
Very high quality - better than the competition. Go with Kelly - while they only sell through distributors, their customer service cant be beat!
I firstly purchased a no-name generic harness for my IO-360 C1E6 however, the leads were really just too short for my install and the ends were not marked. I reluctantly purchased this Kelly set (out of frustration), but now that the harnesses are installed, Im really wishing I would have started with the Kelly set. Quality looks to be very good, the ends are marked for correct install / hook-up, and theres plenty of lead length to work with. Apparently, the C1E6 has a different connection pattern than other 4 cylinder Lycomings. I havent had opportunity to start the engine yet, but I have high confidence in the Kelly harness, and Tempest plugs.
Harness received as expected, and worked well.
Install went good. Works fine. From what I have seen of it prior to installation, it looks as good as those costing quite a bit more. I’m sure it will last a long time
as advertised
always in stock. good value for what else is available.
Absolutely as advertised. As each lead was numbered, no chance to mess up and the cap fit perfectly into my Slick mags. Included in the kit was everything we needed. Aircraft starts and runs much better.
