First of all, I use this on model planes (R/C) using the lite Stits fabric. This is NOT the same stuff sold by F&M. Their Poly-Brush is already thinned, since they sell to modelers. Spruce sells the full-strength stuff that you have to thin (with reducer-I used RR8500-slow drying but the finish is smoooooth!) )on your own. You need to thin it 3 to 1 or else it goes on too thick and it orange peels. But, once you thin it, its just perfect! So, you may actually be getting more product for the money with this than with the pre-mix stuff.

I have used this product on a recent cover job and it did what it was supposed to do. Dont forget to thin 3:1 with their reducer. I like the poly-fiber system, just were a paint mask when working with it.

The first gallon of poly brush was damaged in shipping and leaked in the carton. When we notified Aircraft Spruce of the problem they sent me a replacement gallon. I appreciate there service for taking care of this issue.

Works good, came fast and was well packaged. Hazardous shipping is brutal though.

This stuff is great, makes a tough, attractive and nearly fireproof finished product, but it is toxic as heck so use protective equipment ALL THE TIME.

product was good but the can was so damaged in shipping that it was impossible to stir without a messy transfer to another can

Q: In what colors is Poly Brush available? I see it is tinted.

Only available in clear or tinted. The tinted is only sold in a pinkish color.

Q: What is the shelf life of Poly tone, poly brush and the reducers?

Each of these products have a 4 year shelf life in closed containers.

Q: When you mention 3:1 reduced do you mean 3 parts PolyBrush to 1 part reducer ? Also, what is the recommended reducer for this product ? MEK ?

Poly Brush is thinned 3 parts Poly Brush to one part reducer. There are two reducers available. R65-75 for applying it in lower temps, and RR8500 for applying it in higher temp environments. MEK can be used for cleaning surfaces and spray equipment.

Q: Will Polyspray adhere to a standard etch primer on Aluminium please?

Poly-spray is intended for use on fabric. I don't believe it will adhere to metals.

Q: Can West Systems epoxy be used as a primer when applying this product to wood?

This is designed to be applied directly to fabric. We do not have any data supporting it's use with epoxied wood.

Q: How many square feet does 3 gallons of poly brush and 1 gallon of reducer cover if you only apply one coat?

The Poly-Brush states that it will cover approximately 150 sq feet per gallon.
