Poly fiber products is a great way to cover an aircraft. Right very easy to work with and forgiving. 10 years ago I built my plane using poly fiber. A recent had an off-field landing and had to repair a wing and the fuselage. I am very glad I used poly fiber product. Repair went perfect. You cant tell where there was damage at all . Poly fiber product is so easy to work with and repair any future damage that may happen. Thanks for a great product!.

Poly Fiber products very easy to use Ranthane finish looks good but is impossible to make a good looking repair. I was foolish to think I would never need to repair. Wind storm changed that thought.

Q: What do you use to thin the poly-spray with?

Per the Poly Fiber How To manual, there are two reducers to choose from, R65-75 or RR8500. They are offered in quarts, gallons or 5G pails, and are listed as "Accessories" on this web page.

Q: Is this poly spray also a primer or do I still need to prime the fabric before I paint with either poly tone or aerothane?

Per Vendor, you would need to:

Step 1: Poly-Brush

Step 2: Poly-Spray

Step 3: Poly-Tone or Aerothane

Q: Is it ok to skip this UV protectant before painting with Aerothane? Bought a plane that previous owner said they skipped the UV stage to save money...

Per Poly Fiber, we do not recommend skipping this. It would be at your own risk.

Q: Can Poly Spray be used on aluminum as a primer for Poly Tone?

No you would want to use EP-420 epoxy primer. Poly Tone is not designed to be used on metal. Poly Fibers Aerothane or Mark II base paints are used on metals, over the EP-420 epoxy primer.

Q: What is the surface that can be covered with 1 quart of poly fiber poly-spray part# 09-04400?

Per the poly fiber how to manual, one gallon of poly-spray will cover 200 sq ft, so a quart should over 50 square feet. This is for one coat of material.
