Headset Adapter for ICOMŽA4 Transceiver (Straight Plug): Twin sockets accept standard .25" (PJ-055) and .206" (PJ-068) plugs converting to ICOMŽ A4 plug. |
This is mandatory for a backup radio. To hear a portable in the cockpit would be difficult. Note that when using an external PTT, the built in mic is cut off. This makes for quieter transmissions. Avoid using the PTT on the radio. Excellent quality and hardware.
Pilot USA PA 82.4 Dual GA To Icom A4 Adapter
have been using for a while, maybe the speaker plug causes it to generate a pulsing noise every one or two seconds (original plug had two sections, replacement has three), unplugging from radio makes the pulsing go away. Other than this it works fine
Purchased as replacement of original Icom adaptor, a bit weary on receipt as the speaker plug has three sections - original has two. But it worked fine and I am very satisfied with it
Nicely made but when used with an a4 you have no side tone. I used a softcom c-40 mono. Tried on 2 different a4.
