The smallest, lightest, and lowest power consumption Altitude Digitizer on the market.
The SSD120-35C-RS232 is a solid-state Altitude Encoder that is designed to provide a rugged and reliable altitude digitizer for applications where size, weight and economy are critical. Incorporating one ICAO gray code port, as well as two RS232 serial altitude data outputs, this encoder is a simple and robust addition to any avionics installation requiring accurate pressure altitude information for multiple aircraft systems. The two asynchronous RS232 outputs provide altitude data on the serial data protocol which is commonly used to provide pressure altitude data to ADS-B, GPS, Auto-Pilots, Transponders and other navigation devices. Six (6) serial data protocols are available. The data protocol is selected through internal shunts or via software set-up. Resolution of the serial altitude data may be set to 100 feet or 10 feet through internal shunts. Operating Pressure Altitude Range: -1000 to +35,000 feet |
Great encoder. Working well with Stratus ESG using RS-232 serial data.
Trans-Cal Altimeter Digitizer Ssd-120-35C-RS232
Very simple install and quite versatile encoder. Nice replacement for older grey code.
Trans-Cal Altimeter Digitizer Ssd-120-35C-RS232
Easy install, accurate, lightweight. Perfect update from older grey code.

Trans-Cal Altimeter Digitizer Ssd-120-35C-RS232
This is the gold standard in encoders.
Trans-Cal Altimeter Digitizer Ssd-120-35C-RS232
Worked great, easy install. Wish it included #4 or 6 hardware for mounting.
Trans-Cal Altimeter Digitizer Ssd-120-35C-RS232
Excellent product, simple wiring, simple protocol setup if required, low price, but best of all great factory support if ever needed (call Cosmo for tech help)!
The unit was easy to install and works very well. The previous encoder was not solid state and needed warmup time. This encoder is solid state and has zero warmup time - no more complaints from the tower.
This is a go to piece when we need an encoder. Performs well and price is good.
Simple plug & play replacement. Fast warm up.

Yes it is.
Yes, the GTX 335/345 installation manual states that it will accept an input from a Trans-cal SSD120 RS232 encoder unit.
Yes, this is compatible with the GTX 327 xpdr.
Yes this encoder will work with the Stratus via RS232 data path.
No, the usefulness will not be affected as the ADS-B uses this information.
Yes, it is.
The KT76C uses gray scale coding, please use part number 11-06489 for the KT76C.
Per the manual, yes, this will work together.
Per the manual, this encoder will work with the SL 70.
The Trans-cal encoder will only come with the D-sub connector for the encoder. You will need a GTX D-sub connector to complete the interface.
