Yes, this can be used with Poly-Tone, Poly-Brush, Poly-Spray, and Aerothane.
We do not have any tests to determine how well it works with lacquer, but it is used on Aerothane paint, with is a polyurethane paint. It is a clear material on its own.
No, it is similar, but not as effective as silver Poly Spray or silver powder or paste.
