The AL-1 is more attractive, operates on less power and is smaller than the old fashioned indicator lights. The AL-1 has a service life of over 1000 times that of incandescent bulbs. This LED assembly uses 10 mA at 12V and 20 mA at 24V.
These have a built-in resistor. They simply need to be wired to bus voltage and ground via switch on either the voltage or ground side.
The AL-1X LEDs are indeed polarity sensitive. The red wire is to be wired to bus voltage and the white wired to ground.
