The Aveo Powerburst is easy to install and significantly brighter and lighter than my old Whelen strobe system. The only downside for my application was the hole pattern on the new unit did not match my old strobe installation. That was solved by fabricating a tear shaped mounting plate to go between the Aveo and old wing tip surface. This allowed me to match the old hole pattern and add nut plates to secure the new lights, thus avoiding fiberglass and sanding a new mounting surface. I suspect the average install will not need this step and mount more conveniently.

Great lights for the price. I had one strobe fail after four years but AVEO replaced it for free. Mine haven't yellowed as someone mentioned but the plane is hangered.

First set of lights I've purchased for my airplane. Easy to install. Work great. Lightweight. Very low power consumption ...I haven't seen them from the outside while flying but all reports are they're bright, easy to see, etc. ...lighting up reflectors 500+ feet away - didn't expect that from a nav light.

The lights are of very good construction. The position lights are very bright. My previous lights strobes were more bight. During the day, these strobes do not light as the Whellen Microburst for example that I had on another plane. The colors are brighter, but, not the strobes.

Had these for about 2 1/2 years and the left strobe went out. Cannot get a warrantee because we did not send in the warrantee card within 30 days of purchase. Buyer beware. Send in that Warrantee card.

I purchased these and one lights brass insert was broken. I registered the product with aveo however have not heard back from Aveo. I mounted the light without the brass hole insert anyways however its not right and wont last without the insert. The quality of the illumnation shape size and ease of install is exactly what I wanted. Aveos lack of response to my inquiry is less than professional its non existant.

Good set of lights for the price but they start turning yellow after a few months. Was informed by AVEO that they must be polished and waxed about every 90 days to keep them clear. Mine are no longer clear so all I can do is stop them from getting any darker.

They are bright and compact. They have yellowed and I can not get them clear again. One of my ground wires came off because the solder joint was bad. I had to take a dremel and grind the resin away in order to get a spot to ground it back. I get feed back of the strobe only when both Nav and Strobe are turned on together. “Happened before the ground wire broke” Only happens for about 30 seconds then goes away for a while. Then will come back for another 30 seconds. I would look at a different brand of lights.

I had to send my left wing tip light back because the strobe failed. The company representative in Florida has told me on more than 4 occasions that he would call me back so that I could purchase the updated Powerburst wingtip lights. To date I have not heard from him. Each time I am able to speak with the representative I am told that he is 15 to 20 minutes from the office and he will call me so that I can purchase the lights. Radio Silence. If this is their idea of customer service IT SUCKS!!!!!!!

The lighting functions well, but they are NOT indestructible as the Aveo propaganda suggests. After only 3 years, the acrylic housing has started to delaminate.
