Overview

AeroSun EVO IV is a newly optimized version of our long-trusted AeroSun LED Landing/Recognition light. Now with 3X the performance, this versatile LED can be mounted virtually anywhere on the aircraft. AeroSun EVO IV comes standard with AeroLEDs’ signature Pulse (wigwag) functionality. The Pulse controller is fully integrated into the light and requires no external circuitry. This feature significantly increases recognition in daylight as well as light operations, aiding in collision avoidance and reduced bird strikes. In dual or quad light installations, while operating in wig-wag mode, this self-contained pulse function reduces load on the aircraft electrical system by 50%. *Optional mount sold separately.

AeroLEDs Aerosun Landing And Taxi Light With Pulse Non-TSO 9-40V

September 25, 2024

I have an RV8, had the vans wing lights with a halogen bulbs, could hardly see to taxi much less adequate elimination to land. These LEDs are awesome! Bought mine with the mounting brackets, expensive but worth it. Brackets help to make the lights adjustable to aim . Solid 4 times brighter

AeroLEDs Aerosun Landing And Taxi Light With Pulse Non-TSO 9-40V

June 17, 2021

Only compared it with my 130w halogen as installed in my RV6 outside the aircraft. The halogen is more yellow and more a concentrated spot. The Aeroled is bright blueish LED light, more towards a flood, but VERY bright.

Q: Does the Aeroleds Aerosun landing light have two lights? Is the wig-wag feature included?

Per the manufacturer, the Aerosun Landing light is one light and you can use the wig-wag feature by hooking up the yellow wire that comes with the light.

Q: Dont understand the dimensions, what is height, width and depth of the Aeroleds Aerosun Landing Light?

Height 2.25", Width 5", Depth 1.5"

Q: I have a small alternator so I need to restrict the load to one light at a time or two in the wig wag mode. Is that possible to wire up?

When the lights are in the wig-wag mode, the power load is reduced because the lights are on 50% of the time in while in the pulse mode. They could reduce the power consumption by just installing the pulse or wig-wag mode by connecting aircraft power to the yellow wire and not have the landing light mode (red wire) connected.

Q: For the two light wig wag option what size of wire is required between the green and the blue?

AeroLEDs recommends a 20 or 22 AWG wire when connecting the blue and green wires.

Q: Is the Aerosun weather proof. Can it be mounted outside without additional protection? on the nose gear?

This is weatherproof and UV protected. The Aerosun is designed for outside use without a cover.
