This headset is the one of the results of 25 years of experience manufacturing aviation headsets. In 25 years one talks to a great number of pilots from all walks of life and from many segments of the aviation community. This headset we believe to be perfect for the entry level pilot, backseats, or a pilot on a budget. We invite you to compare the features of our entry level headset with our competition’s upper range headsets. You’ll be pleasantly surprised. Fitted with our electret noise canceling microphone and windscreen, your voice will be heard loud and clear by ATC. The headset can be used in monaural or stereo modes. The PA-1161 comes with a NRR rating of 24 dB which is more than adequate to protect your hearing in normal aviation environments. |
Always our first choice for our beginning student pilots. Its durable and dependable.
Pilot Passive Headset PA-1161
, Good value Works good
Id give it 4 or even 5 stars for value, but the only document on the website is a manual... not for the 1161 but the 1161T, a slightly different model (T is for Trophy series) that does not appear to exist here. The 1161T described in the manual (a single sheet of paper) includes an aux input for audio and cell phones... the 1161 does not. Neither does it have the premium foam/liquid ear seals and it may or may not have the PA-7 electret microphone as it is not marked. In short, while the model is as described by the text of the catalog entry, it is not the model I expected to get because the document provided by Spruce didnt match.
